So who exactly is Carmen Unger?

Well for those who don't know, Carmen is arguably
Canada's most impressive amateur female bodybuilder of all time.

Opitomising what the look is for a modern strength woman, Carmen looks every inch a class act, and strives to always look and feel at her very best, as she searches for her physical peak, which some may claim she has already reached.

From her long flowing umber hair down to her slender feet, Carmen is a mere 5ft 3", but the 34 year old hasn't allowed that to prohibit her physical growth. Carmen has strived for years to develop a physique of statuesque proportions, through hard effort in the gym and by
eating a well balanced and muscle enhancing diet.
With a body hewn from all this knowhow and effort, it's easy to see just what makes Carmen a very popular and well liked person with fans, supporters, friends and other competitors.

Carmen boasts an unbelievable appearance which includes a pair of awesome biceps, and jaw dropping legs which many would struggle to match, and possibly the thickest, fullest chest muscles in the World. The remainder of her physique is praise worthy on it's own, and her off season shape is unbelievable, together with her lines, curves and muscle striations which all make Carmen a work of art, indeed remeniscent of works by the Austrian sculptor Rodin.

Carmen The Competitor.


Carmen placed third in her novice class as a lightweight in 1995 after just five months of training. She then competed in 1996 placing first in her provincial competition.

A few years of careful physical honing took place, to make the most of her oustanding genetics, before progressing back to the stage to win the provincial lightweight title in 1999.

Carmen placed third in the middleweights in 2000. First place came in 2001 and 2002 , yet Carmen was just denied an overall win in the final stages, in both years.

Carmen sparkles when she's on stage, and her grace, elegance, poise and timing, are a trademark of her routines, and make her a feared and well respected competitor.

Carmen isn't like most people you meet, and got back up from two narrow denials to enter the 2003 Nationals.

The following picture was taken at the event, and kindly sent to me, by the great woman herself and used with her permission and consent.


Carmen had packed on even more quality muscle, and as you can see looked sizzling, but slight disruption to her contest preparations meant she retained water, and had a slight lack of tightness compared to previous years, and came fifth in the heavyweight class.

Carmen has remained very upbeat and took the brave step of competing at this years event, as a middleweight again, but preparation complications meant she came fifth.
However it surely can't be long before this very glamourous woman makes it to the pro ranks, and can start making well earned money for her time and effort.

So you have seen and read about Carmen, but what of the woman herself?

Carmen spent half her life in the city of Steinbach in Manitoba, and was manageress of a local gym, where ,amongst other things, she trained staff

Carmen is also someone of great intellect and beauty.
Kind, caring, loving, honest, genuine, true, loyal and a fabulous
friend to those privileged to know her, Carmen is very special, and has the ability to touch people with her strong sporting desire, and inner beauty, which are hard to match and almost impossible to beat.

All in all, Carmen is a perfect advertisement for female strength sports, and her country, and is a big favourite the world over.
All I can say is that I hope this fantastic woman can get the pro card in 2005, and turn pro, because the World deserves to see her breathtaking physical build on a pro stage.
